Highbernate
Winter 2025
This winter, SLAMROSS1000 presents HIGHBERNATE—a capsule featuring collaborative pieces spotlighting the talent of Melbourne’s queer community.
The drop includes an oversized crazy double front panel tee with cult Melbourne label Spitsubishi, a rhinestone diva hoodie featuring Ichikawa Lee’s iconic “Diva” graphic, a limited-edition polo featuring an Radical Gestures of Love emblem by artist Oriette Wood and more!!
This season’s campaign has been done by the one and only Sammy-Jo Lang-Waite.
We got her to take photos of the pieces from the collection in whatever way felt true to her practise. Sammy has been a freelance photographer for seven years, working in Naarm and completed her studies at VCA. Through her work Sammy-Jo explores the phenomenon of Urbex as a metaphorical interpretation of sewers and fucking. What began as a personal journey of fuckedism, translated into a subversion of the working-class male gaze. Using images of graffed bums, tomato sauce with a pie and boobs she reframes imagery that feels instantly recognisable and contemporary—speaking straight to, and about, everyday “bogan” culture.

Made in melbourne
Not blanks. Not offshore. Every piece begins in Melbourne—from fabric sourcing to product design, pattern development to manufacturing. This is full cut-and-sew streetwear, start to finish. Screen printed and stitched in our own backyard, we’re building something that hasn’t been seen in this city before. Grounded in process. Driven by culture. Made to last.
